The Exports Officer plays a vital role in advancing the profitability and growth of the Exports Business Unit within the company, aligning closely with the company’s overarching goals of expanding through exports and innovation.
Reporting to the Head of International Business as an export officer, your role will revolve around coordinating client orders and outgoing shipments from the company.
Job responsibilities will include:
- The preparation and processing of documentation and all other elements of an order required for all international sea and air shipments such as POS, proforma invoices, commercial invoices, system-based orders and customs documents.
- Liaising with various other departments and shipping agencies to ensure that all relative parameters are in place prior to order release.
- Liaising closely with the other departments to ensure smooth coordination of all export functions. This aims to streamline the preparation of all relevant documents, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of order in accordance with company processes and legal requirements.
- Verbal and written interaction with customers in order to understand their requirements and address any issues that may arise at their end.
- Managing invoice processes and maintaining accurate records of transactions, databases and other internal systems and registers.
Requisites for this position include:
- A diploma or an Advanced Level standard of Education
- Excellent written and verbal English. Any knowledge of the primary European languages (Italian, French, etc.) would be considered an asset
- Experience and thorough understanding of exporting products to overseas markets (shipping etc.) including the production of export documentation is not mandatory but would be considered an asset.
- Strong computer literacy in MS Excel, Word and MS PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task
- Being self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
- Being well organised and a pro-active team player
