Field Service Biomedical Engineer - Healthcare

Cherubino Ltd is a well-established company operating in the healthcare sector, representing a wide portfolio of leading international brands and providing specialised solutions to healthcare professionals across Malta.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a fully-qualified Field Service Biomedical Engineer to join our Technical Department.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing the installation, commissioning and servicing of new medical equipment at client sites.
• Planning daily work schedules and attending to customer complaints and service requests.
• Investigating technical issues, carrying out diagnostic tests and identifying effective solutions.
• Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Suggesting improved methods, techniques and system enhancements.
• Maintaining the necessary tools, equipment and supplies and coordinating repairs when required.
• Accurately documenting service and installation activities through forms, reports, logs and records.
• Preparing timely and detailed service reports following completed jobs.
• Working closely with the Technical Team and sharing relevant technical information across the organisation.
• Providing professional technical support to customers and ensuring a high standard of service.

Qualifications & Experience

• Vocational training, MCAST Diploma/Degree, or another relevant qualification in Biomedical Engineering, Engineering or a related field.
• Newly qualified MCAST students/graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Any knowledge or experience in CAD/CAM design will be considered an asset.
• A strong interest in medical technology and technical problem-solving.
• Good communication, organisational and troubleshooting skills.
• A valid driving licence is considered an asset.

Training & Development

Training both locally and abroad will be provided, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their technical expertise and gain specialised knowledge of the medical equipment and technologies represented by Cherubino.
