Role Overview
Our Client is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Finance Executive to join its finance function and work closely with the Finance Managers. This is a broad-based position offering involvement across financial reporting, planning, compliance, treasury-related activities, and business projects.

The position provides considerably more exposure than a conventional junior finance role and will allow the successful candidate to develop practical experience across different areas of a diversified group. It would particularly suit someone with strong numerical and analytical capabilities who wants to deepen their finance expertise, take on increasing responsibility, and build a long-term career within a challenging business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Finance Management Support: Work alongside Finance Managers in preparing and evaluating financial information used to guide both day-to-day operations and wider business decisions.

• Audit Coordination: Assist with audit requirements by organising relevant records, completing reconciliations, gathering evidence, and following up on information requested during the audit process.

• Banking and Compliance Administration: Prepare and update documentation relating to KYC, due diligence, banking requirements, and other compliance procedures involving financial institutions and professional parties.

• Forecasting and Financial Planning: Contribute to cash flow projections, liquidity monitoring, budgets, and financial models used to assess different business scenarios.

• Financial Transactions: Provide analytical and administrative input into significant financial transactions, ensuring the appropriate information and supporting records are maintained throughout the process.

• Management Information: Compile financial reports, analyses, and presentation material while maintaining a high level of accuracy and completeness across the underlying data.

• External Coordination: Maintain effective communication with banks, auditors, professional advisers, and other relevant parties when dealing with finance-related requirements.

• Financial Processes: Identify opportunities to strengthen reporting procedures and contribute to improvements in finance systems, controls, and internal workflows.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant field is required. Candidates who are part-qualified or qualified through ACCA, ACA, or a comparable professional accounting route will have an advantage.

• Experience: At least two years of relevant experience within finance, accounting, auditing, financial analysis, or a closely related area is expected.

• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.

• Communication Skills: Able to explain financial information clearly and communicate professionally with colleagues, management, and external parties.

• Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative approach and the confidence to work effectively with experienced finance professionals, advisers, and other stakeholders.

• Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities are essential, particularly for analysing data and developing financial models. A sound understanding of financial statements, cash flow principles, and forecasting is also required.

• Organisation: Highly organised and detail-conscious, with the ability to balance several responsibilities and deliver accurate work within demanding timeframes.

• Self-Motivated: Proactive, ambitious, and keen to broaden knowledge while progressively taking ownership of more complex finance responsibilities.

• Problem-Solving: Strong numerical reasoning and analytical judgement, with the ability to examine financial information, identify relevant issues, and contribute to practical business solutions.
