Role Overview

Our Client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Executive to join its finance team and provide support to the Finance Managers across various accounting and financial activities.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual in the early stages of their finance career to gain practical experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, compliance, and general finance administration.

Working alongside experienced finance professionals, the successful candidate will develop their technical knowledge, strengthen their analytical skills, and gradually take on additional responsibilities within a diverse business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Finance Support: Assist Finance Managers with daily accounting activities, financial administration, and the preparation of information required for internal reporting.

• Audit Assistance: Help prepare documentation for internal and external audits, including reconciliations, supporting schedules, and relevant financial records.

• Banking and Compliance: Assist with preparing and maintaining KYC documentation, banking forms, due diligence records, and other routine compliance requirements.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial projections by gathering and organising relevant information.

• Financial Transactions: Assist with the documentation and administrative requirements associated with financial transactions and business activities.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports, spreadsheets, and summaries, ensuring that information is accurate and properly maintained.

• External Communication: Liaise with banks, auditors, and other external parties regarding documentation, information requests, and routine finance matters.

• Process Improvements: Support the Finance Managers in maintaining accurate financial records and improving administrative and reporting procedures.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates currently pursuing ACCA, ACA, or an equivalent accounting qualification will also be considered.

• Experience: A minimum of two years' relevant experience in accounting, finance, auditing, or a similar role.

• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required. Knowledge of Maltese would be considered an advantage.

• Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external contacts.

• Interpersonal Skills: A positive and cooperative attitude, with a willingness to learn from experienced team members and contribute to shared objectives.

• Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. A basic understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and reconciliations is expected.

• Organisation: Well-organised and attentive to detail, with the ability to manage assigned tasks, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines.

• Self-Motivated: Eager to learn, develop new skills, and take on additional responsibilities as experience grows.

• Problem-Solving: Good numerical and analytical abilities, with a practical approach to identifying discrepancies and resolving routine financial issues.
