Financial Controller

What’s expected of you?

• Manage and oversee the Accounts department, implementing effective processes and best practices.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, as well as full-year forecasts.
• Work closely with auditors, board members and management on financial reporting and requirements.
• Manage the creditors and debtors portfolio, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare monthly profit and loss reports, quarterly VAT returns and other financial reports.
• Develop and document accounting processes to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and contribute to the preparation of the annual business plan.
• Lead and support the Accounts team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the finance function.

What are you expected to bring?

• An accounting degree and relevant experience in a financial control or senior accounting role in Malta
• Strong organisational skills and a proven ability to meet targets and deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work collaboratively and lead change.
• Strong work planning and time management skills.
• Good knowledge of SFM and Microsoft Office applications.
