Role Overview

As the Financial Controller, you will report directly to the CFO and play a vital role in managing the company's financial operations. You'll be responsible for preparing financial statements, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and liaising with external auditors. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining financial control, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate monthly management statements to evaluate financial performance.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and regularly update forecasts in collaboration with department managers and the CFO.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare cash flow projections, VAT returns, and financial information for existing and upcoming projects.
• Audit Support: Act as the primary contact for external auditors, facilitating the statutory audit process.
• Credit Control: Monitor debtors, implement effective credit control measures, and report to senior management.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate the finance team, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Qualifications: Hold an ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience: Have proven work experience in a similar financial controller or senior finance role.
• Technical Skills: Possess solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organisational Skills: Be well-organized with strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
