With a large workforce, the company is renowned for its integrated security services, catering to esteemed organisations. They are collaborating with Heroix to identify a highly skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join their finance team and play a crucial role in driving financial success.

Role Overview

The Financial Planning Analyst will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis, projections, and reliable data to support strategic decision-making and planning. Collaborating closely with the CFO, CEO, and the leadership team, this role will involve preparing monthly financial reports, identifying key action items, and formulating financial strategies to ensure the business's financial sustainability and the successful achievement of business plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning and Analysis: Provide FP&A support to finance teams, covering areas like productivity, demand planning, reporting, and financial metrics.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, long-term plans, risk/opportunity assessments, and periodic/ad hoc reports.
• Strategic Projects: Contribute to corporate projects and initiatives with organization-wide impact.
• Accounting Collaboration: Partner with the accounting team during the close process, reviewing ledgers, recording transactions, preparing accruals, and explaining P&L and Cash variances.
• Financial Optimization: Identify areas for revenue growth and cost reduction.
• Departmental Liaison: Serve as a finance point of contact for departments, understanding their business needs, supporting initiatives, and addressing financial inquiries.
• Variance Analysis: Identify and research variances in forecasts, budgets, and prior-year expenses.
• Reporting Automation: Assist in automating the consolidated reporting process.
• Reconciliations: Conduct necessary account and system reconciliations.
• Management Reporting: Review financial reports, presentations, and other management reporting materials.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Handle ad hoc business reporting and analysis as required.
• Additional Responsibilities: Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned or delegated.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: MQF Level 6 qualification in Accounting and/or Financial Management.
• Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Financial Acumen: General knowledge of accounting, financial, and operational principles.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various management levels.
• Professionalism: High level of commitment to quality work, organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance.
• Problem-Solving: Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations without clear-cut solutions.
• Attention to Detail: Superior attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strategic perspective.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
• Time Management: Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Initiative: Self-starter with good time management skills.
