About This Job

Eden Leisure Group is looking for a General Maintenance to join its team. Forming part of the Maintenance department, the selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out upkeep and repair works required at various company properties.

As a General Maintenance, your role will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the property.

Key responsibilities

  • Performing both minor and major repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Executing preventive maintenance routines to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Carrying out electrical and plumbing maintenance, including basic troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Repairing and finishing plaster, drywall, and related surfaces.
  • Painting interior and exterior areas to maintain aesthetic and protective standards.
  • Installing cables, hardware, and other equipment as needed to support operational requirements.
  • Participating in scheduled inspections to assess the condition of the property and identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs across various trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct painting, patching, and surface preparation for interior and exterior areas.
  • Carry out carpentry tasks such as door repairs, shelving, framing, and furniture assembly.
  • Install, repair, and maintain drywall and soffits.
  • Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to management.

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in general maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Physically able to perform manual work.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or in a team.
