Role Overview

As the General Manager, you will spearhead the strategic direction of the company, maintaining existing operations while spearheading expansion initiatives into new market segments. Collaborating closely with internal teams and stakeholders, you will drive growth by diversifying product offerings, expanding wholesale activities, and enhancing retail presence through innovative concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and market expansion.
• Oversee and coordinate operations across various departments, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
• Identify opportunities for product diversification and expansion into new market segments.
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and retail partners.
• Provide leadership and guidance to departmental managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Previous experience in import/distribution and/or retail sector: Proven track record in sales, distribution, or retail management.
• Financial Expertise: Strong financial background, ideally backed with academic qualifications. Must understand financial reports, budgeting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Leadership and Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams towards achieving strategic objectives.
• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of market dynamics, trends, and competitive landscape.
• Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
