Job Title: Group Head of Finance

Reports To: Board of Directors

Job Summary

The Group Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing the finance department and general financial activities of the group The role ensures strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance across jurisdictions to support sustainable growth and profitability across all subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership

  • Execute the group’s financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives
  • Act as a financial advisor to the Board of Directors,
  • Evaluate and optimize group capital structure, funding, and cash flow management

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Take ownership of group budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Consolidate financial statements across all subsidiaries and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements
  • Present financial results and insights to the Board of Directors

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks
  • Ensure tax planning, compliance, and optimization across the group
  • Manage financial risk, including currency, credit, liquidity, and operational risks
  • Liaise with external auditors, regulators, banks, and financial institutions

Operational & Performance Oversight

  • Monitor financial performance of each business unit and drive accountability
  • Develop and track KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Improve efficiency through cost control, process optimization, and systems improvement

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Oversee group treasury, banking relationships, and cash flow optimization
  • Manage working capital, debt, and investment strategies

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor the finance team
  • Promote consistency in financial processes and systems across subsidiaries
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Professional qualification preferred (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)

Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
  • Experience managing multi-entity business groups
  • Strong background in financial reporting, consolidation, and corporate finance

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Deep understanding of corporate finance, tax, and regulatory environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in complex, fast-paced environments
