Handyman

Grands Suites Hotel is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation, safety, and comfort of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance across hotel facilities (e.g. plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, A/C).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and departments.
• Keep maintenance records and report issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are well-organised and functional.
• Support daily maintenance tasks such as pool checks, lighting repairs, and general facility upkeep.
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards in all tasks.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure service excellence.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in general maintenance or handyman work, preferably in a hotel or similar setting.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, air conditioning, and carpentry.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.
• Physically fit and comfortable performing manual tasks (lifting, climbing, confined spaces).
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Familiar with safety procedures and use of maintenance tools.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
