Housekeeper Already in Malta

Overview  

Provide high-standard housekeeping services across a boutique retreat and rooftop restaurant, ensuring clean, comfortable, and welcoming environments for guests and maintaining operational readiness of back-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Guest Room Cleaning & Preparation

  - Clean, sanitize, and restock guest rooms daily, including beds, bathrooms, surfaces, and minibar/amenities.

  - Change linens and towels, inspect rooms for maintenance needs, and report defects promptly.

  - Ensure rooms are presented to brand standards prior to guest arrival and after check-out.

- Public Areas & Restaurant Support

  - Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, corridors, stairwells, elevators, and SkyLounge restaurant service areas.

  - Assist restaurant staff with clearing and resetting tables during peak periods and support light cleaning tasks in dining and service zones.

- Laundry & Linen Management

  - Operate in-house laundry facilities or coordinate with external laundry services; sort, wash, dry, fold, and store linens and staff uniforms.

  - Monitor linen inventory, record usage, and request replenishment when necessary.

- Health, Safety & Compliance

  - Follow established hygiene, safety, and waste disposal procedures, including use of approved cleaning chemicals and PPE.

  - Adhere to fire, food-safety, and emergency protocols and report hazards or incidents immediately.

- Inventory & Equipment Care

  - Track and maintain housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipment; perform basic maintenance and report faults.

  - Ensure cleaning equipment is clean, charged/stocked, and stored safely.

- Guest Service & Communication

  - Respond courteously and promptly to guest requests and special housekeeping needs.

  - Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to coordinate room readiness, special setups, and VIP services.

Skills and Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum 2–4 years professional housekeeping experience, preferably within hotels, retreats, or upscale restaurants.

- Language: Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).

- Technical Skills: Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, laundry operations, and standard housekeeping equipment.

- Standards & Attention to Detail: Strong eye for cleanliness, order, and presentation; ability to maintain consistent high standards.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks—standing, bending, lifting (up to typical housekeeping limits), and working on feet for extended periods.

- Customer Service: Polite, discreet, and guest-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.

- Reliability & Teamwork: Punctual, dependable, able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced onsite environment.

- Legal Eligibility: Must already be located in Malta and authorized to work there.

Preferred: prior experience in boutique or high-end hospitality, basic knowledge of Maltese hospitality standards, and flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
