We are a growing and fast-paced food retail group seeking a reliable HR Business Partner, covering the full employee lifecycle for a mix of our teams. You won't just be handling recruitment and admin, you'll be exposed to so much more: onboarding, performance support, wellbeing, recognition, and even a hand in shaping how we're seen as an employer.
This is a varied, hands-on role, you'll be the first point of contact for the teams and functions you support, giving you genuine exposure across the business.
We're looking for someone organised, curious and comfortable juggling different teams and priorities and who wants a role that grows with them.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Managing recruitment, work permits and lifecycle support for the teams you cover.
- Acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR needs across a mix of teams and support functions.
- Maintaining a visible presence on the shop floor and conducting regular employee check-ins to stay close to day-to-day team needs.
- Getting involved in initiatives, such as; wellbeing, reward & recognition, employer brand as they're built out.
- Coordinating with management on employee needs and people-related priorities;
- Supporting onboarding design, documentation and general HR administration.
- Contributing creative ideas to how we present ourselves as an employer, internally and externally.
- Flagging and escalating more complex matters as needed.
- Contributing to HR policy and process improvements as the function develops.
🎯 Candidate Profile
- Possess a relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Have at least 1–2 years' experience in an HR generalist, HR administration or similar role.
- Be comfortable managing recruitment, onboarding and day-to-day HR queries independently.
- Possess strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple teams' needs at once.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be discreet, trustworthy and confident handling confidential information.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and genuinely interested in the full breadth of what HR can be, not just its administrative side.
