
About This Job
De La Rue is growing, and we are looking for an HSE Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the HSE Advisor.
Main duties include:
- Promote world class HSEF practices throughout all manufacturing activities at De La Rue Malta
- Ensure, at minimum, legal compliance and reduce risk of non-compliance in areas within job holder’s remit
- Develop and monitor effective risk management strategies and take active participation in the implementation of these strategies
- Keep Senior Management, Line Management and all staff abreast of relevant HSEF Legislation and Codes of Practice
- Review and develop HSEF policies, procedures and guidance, in keeping with best practice and make recommendations on their implementation and application.
- Liaise with the relevant departments to ensure that policies, practices and procedures meet legal and system requirements
- Guide and support Senior Management and the relevant reporting lines in maintaining compliance to the relevant Management System standards
- Design and provide internal training for staff in relation to HSEF policies, practice and procedures
- Take active part in the HSE Work Groups
- Support SaS Leaders in performing their role effectively and raising their level of competence through involvement.
Requirements:
- 3 years’ experience in H&S/HSE Management in a HSE related position
- NEBOSH Environmental Certificate and/or NEBOSH OHS Certificate required
- Diploma in Health & Safety, or Diploma in a H&S discipline would be considered as an asset.
- Eagerness to learn, develop and grow;
- Sound knowledge of HSE legislation & industry practices;
- Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
- Ability to define problem areas, collect, interpret, and evaluate complex technical data and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to effectively present information to management, associates and regulatory agencies
- Demonstrated ability to influence others via strong relationships and analytical skills
- Effective collaboration and leadership skills and the ability to influence individuals to implement policies, procedures and guidelines without direct authority
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
