Our client is seeking an IT Core Banking Systems Specialist to join their dynamic team in Malta.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of core banking systems, encompassing configurations, maintenance, support, and deployment across on-premises, hybrid, or cloud environments. This role will actively contribute to the implementation of new IT projects and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining the core banking system, ETL processes, databases, scripting tools, software updates, and patches.
• Ensuring the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability and performance by maintaining and monitoring systems.
• Recognising and resolving issues impacting our Client's IT operations.
• Monitoring SLA to ensure adherence by supplier to obligations.
• Managing the Bank's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software applications, virtualised environments, networking and security devices, and cloud solutions.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Hard-working, responsible, organised, and autonomous IT infrastructure specialist:
  • 3 to 5 years experience in supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience of Cloud platforms and architectures.
• Strong emphasis on cybersecurity:
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and products.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V virtualisation.
  • Professional certifications in relevant technologies considered an asset.
