Our client, a leading IT company in Malta with nearly two decades of experience, is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. They are committed to providing cutting-edge IT solutions and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Role Overview

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising our client's IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass providing technical support, performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting complex issues, and managing systems effectively. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Provide comprehensive second and third-level technical support for workstations, servers, networking equipment, and various IT systems.
• System Maintenance: Implement and execute regular maintenance procedures to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues promptly and efficiently.
• System Administration: Effectively manage user networks, servers, PCs, and Layer 2 and 3 devices.
• Ticketing System Management: Utilize a ticketing system to track and manage support requests and resolutions.
• On-Site Support: Be prepared to provide on-site support to clients when necessary.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Certifications: Cisco CCNA or Microsoft MCP, MCSE, or MCSA certification.
• Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure, SharePoint Online) is advantageous.
• Education: Diploma in IT with a focus on system management.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar IT systems engineering role.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous and organised approach.
• Communication: Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Driving License: Possess a valid driving license for Malta.
