As part of a leading financial services group, our Client stands at the forefront of innovation in Fintech, Investment Services, and Fund Administration. Our Client leads Malta's Fintech sector, offering an integrated platform for investments, payments, and card services, simplifying financial management for individuals and businesses.

Role Overview

The Lead UI/UX Designer will spearhead the design of our Client's platform, collaborating closely with developers and product managers to ensure a seamless user experience. Based at our Malta headquarters, a relocation package is available for successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Design Team: Provide clear design direction, mentorship, and foster innovation within the team. 

Establish Design Standards: Maintain guidelines and best practices for consistent quality across projects. 

Advocate User-Centered Design: Promote UX/UI principles and showcase their value within the organisation. 

Conduct User Research: Understand user needs and behaviours, translating insights into actionable design strategies. 

Iterate Based on Feedback: Analyse user feedback and metrics to continually enhance the user experience. 

Generate Innovative Ideas: Facilitate brainstorming sessions and design workshops to drive creativity. 

Visual Design: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts effectively. 

Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design with project goals. 

Effective Communication: Present design concepts and rationale, solicit feedback, and iterate based on input.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree in Design or related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum 5 years' experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools. 

Design Expertise: Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, usability, and accessibility standards. 

Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. 

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively. 

Sector Experience: Previous experience in Fintech, Banking, Investments, or related areas is advantageous.
