&lt;p&gt;A vacancy has arisen in the Maintenance Department for a full time Machine Setter. This position is focused in the packaging area of the company.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The role:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The role of the machine setter is to set and run the machines during production according to the production plan. This person is responsible to ensure that machines are running efficiently and with minimal rejection rates. The machine setter will be required to change over the machine in the less possible time to maximise output. One would be required to make any minor adjustments as needed. Setting of date coders and auxiliary equipment within the packaging section is a must. Training will be provided. The role involves manual handling of packaging reels.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The person:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The ideal person for this position needs to communicate well in Maltese and English.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Must have computer skills.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Must have initiative and able to work in a fast-moving environment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Must have basic knowledge of hand tools.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Must be willing to work on day shifts and on shift basis when the need arises.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Food handling Licence B will be required.&lt;/p&gt;
