&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Job Summary:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br&gt; We are looking for an experienced and hands-on &lt;strong&gt;Maintenance Lead&lt;/strong&gt; to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Maintenance Department. This role involves supervising the maintenance team, managing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all facilities and equipment within the hotel are safe, functional, and maintained to high standards.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Key Responsibilities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Lead and supervise maintenance and preventive maintenance across all facilities and equipment.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Coordinate with front of house to address urgent maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Execute hands-on repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, civil works, and painting.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Implement and manage preventive maintenance schedules.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintain detailed maintenance records and fault logs.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and internal standards.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Monitor the upkeep of the plant room and essential hotel systems.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Manage inventory of tools and supplies, including procurement and stock control.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Develop and implement departmental procedures and improvement plans.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Mentor and train maintenance staff, conduct performance reviews, and foster a positive work culture.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Liaise with other departments and external contractors to ensure seamless execution of maintenance projects.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Handle emergency issues promptly and effectively.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Support annual budget planning and cost control for the department.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Organise team schedules and the on-call roster.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Required Skills and Competencies:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Candidates MUST be already based in Malta&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or commercial setting.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Excellent technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Strong communication skills and a professional, service-oriented attitude.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with maintenance reporting systems.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Physically fit and capable of manual tasks involving lifting and working at height or in confined spaces.&lt;/li&gt;
