What is expected of you?

• Manage and supervise all maintenance operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the property.
• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive preventive maintenance programmes for all building services, plant, and equipment.
• Oversee the timely and effective repair and upkeep of all facilities, ensuring high standards of safety and functionality.
• Ensure full compliance with all health and safety legislation, fire safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the maintenance team, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
• Effectively manage the maintenance budget, controlling costs and optimising resource allocation.
• Coordinate closely with other departments to minimise disruption and support overall guest satisfaction.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to all emergency maintenance issues, ensuring minimal impact on operations.

What are you expected to bring?

• Possess proven experience in a maintenance management or supervisory role within a hotel environment.
• Hold recognised technical qualifications in maintenance, engineering, or building services.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of building services, plant and equipment, and preventive maintenance systems.
• Exhibit sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, fire safety, and statutory compliance.
• Show demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
• Possess strong organisational and problem solving abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Be proficient in budget management and resource allocation within a maintenance context.
• Reside in Malta or possess the legal right to work in Malta or the EU.
