About This Job

The Management Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to support effective decision-making within the business. The role involves preparing management accounts, analysing financial performance, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring financial integrity in line with company policies and accounting standards.

The selected candidate will be required to:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analytics in accordance with internal reporting deadlines and policies.
  • Monitor and analyse variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, providing insight and recommendations to management.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts in collaboration with departmental heads.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards for business unit and group-level review.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and review of inventory valuation and cost control processes.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company procedures.
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors, providing required documentation and explanations in a timely manner.
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial guidance, promote efficiency, and enhance profitability.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exhibit excellent commercial awareness and the ability to interpret financial data in a business context.
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Be proficient in financial systems, with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Display excellent organisational and time management skills to meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Actively contribute to fostering a positive team dynamic and supporting colleagues.
