JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Lead Merchandiser, the Merchandiser is responsible to increase product placement, brand awareness and implement promotions in supermarkets and retail shops.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform regular checks including but not limited to the fridge’s temperature, the display of the products and to ensure that they are displayed nicely.
2. Develop and maintain a structured procedure in relation to checking the dates of products and inspecting that the proper rotation is being made.
3. Inform outlets in respective regions of any new products launched by Benna and follow up on placing orders through the outlet's respective distributor.
4. Act as a brand ambassador and answer any queries related to the Benna products.
5. Be a contact point with the outlet by providing customer service.
6. Occasionally also promote and sample products in outlets, as per the schedule agreed with the trade marketing administrator/executive.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
1. Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
2. Fluent in both Maltese and English languages.
3. Basic computer skills for reporting purposes.
4. Ability to work independently and in a team.
5. Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
6. Valid driving license and use of own car.
