&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Job Summary&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The healthcare assistant assists the nursing team within the Outpatients Department.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Responsibilities&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Carrying out medicals, including completing items on the medical forms that fall within the nursing aide’s remit, including Blood Pressure Reading, Height, Weight, and Urine testing. Medicals may be carried out for various purposes, including for insurance purposes.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Accompanying patients to visit the doctor.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Carrying out VDU’s, Audiograms, Spirometry, Vision tests, ECG’s, as trained and as required.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Preparing outpatients rooms to ensure they are well equipped for Specialist clinics being held.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ensuring that ultrasound machines, and other apparatuses or instruments within the outpatients’ rooms, are clean.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Assisting doctors with minor procedures.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Monitoring stock and ensuring stock is ordered and collected and stock levels are maintained.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Contributing towards the wellbeing of patients.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Contributing towards the effectiveness of work teams.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Carrying out other activities, as required within the Outpatients Department for the efficient and effective running of the department.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Obtaining consent from patients when and where appropriate.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Respecting patients’ privacy, dignity, wishes and beliefs and minimise any necessary discomfort.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Prepare patient, self, equipment and materials appropriately for the activity to be undertaken.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Supporting patients throughout, encouraging them to promote their own health and well-being.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Prioritise attention to patients, alerting the team when there are changes in the individuals’ health and wellbeing or any possible risks.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Qualifications&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Healthcare Assistant certification&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Desirably - Basic Life Support&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Passion for Customers&lt;/li&gt;
