Continental Cars Ltd specialises in Automotive and has an opportunity for a Car Valeting / PDI / Car Washer to join our team. This position is suited to individuals that are looking to advance their career in automotive.

The Technical PDI/Valeting Operative is responsible for preparing new vehicles prior to delivery to customers. Additionally, the role involves performing detailed cleaning and valeting on used vehicles to maintain high presentation standards.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Workshop and Sales Managers regarding the parking locations of vehicles.
  • Perform maintenance on stock vehicles following manufacturer’s requirements and company policies.
  • Remove transportation mode settings from new vehicles to prepare them for delivery.
  • Ensure vehicles are protected at all times using appropriate coverings such as seat covers, floor mats, and steering wheel covers.
  • Inspect vehicles and promptly report any damages to the Sales and Workshop Managers.
  • Clean customers’ vehicles inside and out, including polishing when required.
  • Vacuum vehicle interiors as necessary.
  • Use tools and equipment properly and responsibly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and optimal condition of the wash bay and all pre-delivery inspection equipment
  • Follow pre-delivery inspection procedures for car valeting in accordance with franchise and company requirements.
  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer’s safety standards.
  • Strive to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Adhere strictly to Health and Safety regulations, company policies, and franchise standards.
  • Wear protective clothing and use safety equipment provided by the company at all times.
  • Attend company-organised training as required.
  • Perform light maintenance work when necessary.
  • Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Workshop Manager.
