Plant Maintenance Technician 1

De La Rue is growing and we are looking for a Plant Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.

Main duties include:

Individual

1. Ensures breakdown repairs and maintenance are completed quickly and ensure that all safety & Security procedures are followed
2. Before and after machine intervention, updates the machine status using available systems and informs maintenance supervisor of status.
3. Work involves handling of 20kg loads and working at heights.
4. Need to be trained and able to manoeuvre using equipment such as fork lifters, stackers and motorised/un-motorised elevated platforms.
5. Needs to ensure all necessary permits to work are in place before and after working in a particular area.
6. Ensure all Process quality controls and SOPs are followed together with scheduled TPM activities.
7. Needs to be able to read and interpret schematic and general arrangement diagrams & other printing related equipment.
8. Takes part in the installation of equipment and infrastructural systems.
9. Completes work dockets and associated paperwork.
10. To understand the principles and have the ability to repair/maintain in all fields of mechatronics, i.e. electrical, electronics, IT and mechanics .

KPI’s

1. To maintain a good OEE by:Maintaining a healthy reporting system (handovers)
   Performing PMs as per checklists and on time
   
2. Recommendations for improvements (pro-active approach)Performing PMs as per checklists and on time
   Make correct use of red tags
   
3. Making correct use of BMS
4. Support operations with TPM activities
5. Good stockkeeping of spare parts (reporting of parts consumed and parts which are missing, but good to have)
6. To help align with site Safety and Security requirement and ensure that the workplace is in top condition (contributing to SaS forms and Dynamic Risk Assessments).

Currency

1. Support the Divisional leadership team, executing the strategy for Currency in terms of the Central Bank and Security Features/Polymer propositions
2. Provide subject matter expertise to support effective decision making and to provide input as required to the annual strategic planning cycle
3. Support and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the division
