About This Job
Reporting to the Brewers, the Process Leader is responsible for leading, coordinating and motivating a multi-skilled team across Brewing, Beer Processing and Water Treatment to ensure production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently and in line with SOPs, quality requirements and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations across Brewing, Beer Processing and Water Treatment, ensuring production plans are implemented effectively and processes run according to SOPs and quality standards.
- Monitor process performance, KPIs and the Brewing Automation System (BOTEC), identifying issues, corrective actions and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage and develop the operational team through effective rostering, shift coordination, training, mentoring and performance support.
- Ensure effective stock management of raw materials, cleaning materials, beer stocks and brewing by-products, including stock takes and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate production records, reporting and documentation, ensuring SOPs are reviewed and kept up to date.
- Coordinate with Brewers, Maintenance and other internal departments, as well as external suppliers, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with health and safety, PPE and ATEX requirements and supporting new projects and process improvements.
Requirements:
- A qualification at MQF Level 5 or higher in Brewing, Food Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Management and Leadership or a related field.
- Previous experience in a production, brewing, food manufacturing or industrial environment will be considered an asset.
- Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on a 3-shift basis, that includes night shifts.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
