About This Job
If you believe in the power of early intervention, enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team, and are committed to helping children reach their full potential, we'd love to hear from you.
Help shape a child's future from the very beginning.
About the Role
We're looking for a passionate, compassionate and motivated Psychologist to join our STEP Early Intervention Programme, supporting children aged 3 to 5 years through evidence-based assessment, intervention and family-centred care. Working alongside speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, inclusive education practitioners and other professionals, you'll contribute to creating personalised intervention plans that empower children to develop the skills they need to thrive at home, in school and within their communities.
Every day presents the opportunity to celebrate progress, support families and help children build strong foundations for lifelong learning and inclusion.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and developmental assessments for children entering the programme.
- Complete behavioural and risk assessments to inform intervention planning.
- Monitor children's progress through ongoing reviews and reassessments.
- Develop professional psychological reports and present findings during multidisciplinary case conferences.
- Collaborate with families and professionals to develop and review Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
- Provide consultation and guidance to parents, caregivers and educational staff on behavioural, emotional and developmental needs.
- Support evidence-based interventions that promote communication, emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to maximise each child's developmental potential.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic records in line with Inspire's quality standards.
- Produce specialist psychological reports relevant to clinical practice.
- Engage in continuous professional development and remain informed about current research and best practices in autism and early intervention.
- Practice in accordance with the ethical standards and Code of Conduct of the Malta Psychology Profession Board (MPPB).
Who We're Looking For

- Passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young children and their families.
- Empathetic, patient and compassionate.
- Skilled in psychological assessment and clinical observation.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Committed to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
- Experienced or highly interested in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental needs.
Qualifications & Experience
