Role Description

Attard & Co Food Ltd is seeking a Full time Purchasing Officer for our Purchasing Department in Marsa.

The Purchasing Officer forms part of the Commercial and Supply Chain Department. The Purchasing Officer position is to liaise with the internal Sales Department, Warehousing, Logistics and Suppliers. Additionally, the position also entails continuous monitoring of stock levels with the scope maintaining and optimizing stock levels.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and meet deadlines
• Strong command of Microsoft Office tools especially in Word and Excel

· O level standard of education

• Experience in purchasing is an asset.
• Ability to maintain a healthy relationship with suppliers and to work under constant pressure with strict deadlines.

Duties:

· Plan orders against historical consumptions

· Maintain adequate stock levels

· Create stock cards and ensuring the necessary information pertaining to the product is regularly maintained

· Submit orders and follow up with suppliers

· Coordinate shipments via in-house logistics team

· Negotiate pricing and payment terms with existing and/or new suppliers

· Check goods received in store against Purchase Order/Invoices

· General support to the Planning & Purchasing Team

· Any other ad hoc duties as necessary
