Role Overview
As the QA Team Lead, you will oversee a team of 5 QA Engineers, ensuring the overall quality of our Client's products. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high product standards, implementing effective testing strategies, and driving continuous improvement in QA processes. This role, based in Malta, offers relocation packages.
Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure professional development and growth within the team.
- Coordinate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
Quality Assurance Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies tailored to financial software development.
- Define testing standards, best practices, and guidelines to maintain product integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate QA activities seamlessly.
Test Planning and Execution:
- Plan, prioritize, and oversee testing activities, including functional, integration, and performance testing.
- Design test cases, scenarios, and scripts to validate software functionality and security.
- Execute test cases manually and through automation tools, ensuring thorough coverage and accuracy.
Quality Assurance Infrastructure:
- Evaluate and implement QA tools, frameworks, and technologies to streamline testing processes.
- Maintain test environments to ensure stability and relevance to production environments.
- Monitor and analyze QA metrics to assess product quality and drive corrective actions.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster partnerships with stakeholders to align QA initiatives with business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners, providing regular updates on QA activities.
Experience & Education Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on financial applications or FinTech products.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with proven ability to inspire and motivate.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices, with hands-on experience in test automation.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial industry standards and security principles.
Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
