Quality Assurance Assistant

Consolidated Biscuit Co. Ltd. is an established leading manufacturer of top quality biscuits and snacks which are widely marketed and distributed in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and America under different brand names. The Company is BRC certified which is internationally recognized as one of the most effective food safety standards.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the selected candidate will work closely with production to ensure that the quality attributes of our operation are being achieved. Some of the more specific responsibilities for the selected candidate will include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Line Start Up Checks (candidate must be an early starter as occasionally one may be required as early as 4.00am)
• Sampling and measurement of product being produced to ensure conformity with standards.
• To ensure GMP is being followed, in line with the required procedures.
• Perform basic analytical tests (in-house training provided).
• To verify that all requirements of our HACCP system are adhered to effectively.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum O Level standard, preference will be given to candidates with a knowledge of Chemistry/Biology or Food Science subjects.
• Effective problem solving and analytical skills
• Computer literacy/ MS Office
• Good Communication skills

• An eye for detail
• Can work on own initiative
• Flexibility
• Food handlers licence B
