Rental Station Assistant (full-time or part-time)

About This Job

We are a reputable car rental company representing international brand names, and we are looking for a reliable and hands-on Rental Station Assistant to join our Gozo station.

Reporting to the Station Supervisor, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the station, with a particular focus on moving, cleaning, preparing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they are ready for rental customers. The role may also involve assisting with customer and rental-related duties when required, particularly during busy periods.

The selected candidate may occasionally be required to provide support at other locations in Malta.

Main Duties

• Clean, prepare, and inspect vehicles to ensure they are ready for rental.
• Move, park, deliver, and collect vehicles as required.
• Check vehicles for damage and report any issues to the Station Supervisor.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean, presentable, and in good condition.
• Assist with vehicle handovers, collections, and customer enquiries when required.
• Support rental station operations during busy periods or when the Station Supervisor is not available, including basic rental counter and administrative duties.
• Follow company procedures, health and safety requirements, and vehicle handling guidelines.
• Carry out other operational tasks as required to ensure the smooth running of the station.

Requirements

• Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Reliable, responsible, and willing to take initiative.
• Comfortable carrying out physically active work, including vehicle cleaning, preparation, and movement.
• Able to work on your feet and outdoors for extended periods.
• Good attention to detail and a practical approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and closely with the Station Supervisor.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible approach to work, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys practical work, is comfortable with the physical requirements of the role, and can work reliably with minimal supervision.
