Scientific Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Scientific Officer at BioDNA Laboratory Services Ltd. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintenace and Improvement of the Quality Management System.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, standards, and certifications

- Conduct risk assessments and root cause analysis of quality issues and incidents, identifying underlying causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions

- In-house equipment calibration

·- Reviewing quality of suppliers and liaising with purchasing staff.
- Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory techniques and methodologies.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in quality management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the laboratory environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics) is preferred.

- Experience in an ISO17025 accredited or GMP certified laboratory.
- Strong understanding of laboratory techniques and principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in data collection and analysis.
- Proficient in both Maltese and English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development in the field of scientific research.
