- Team Development: Coach junior colleagues, share specialist knowledge and encourage consistently strong technical practices across the function.
- Governance and Assurance: Maintain dependable technical records, change histories and supporting evidence so that database operations remain prepared for regulatory inspections and audits.
- Strategic Contribution: Participate in technology governance discussions and provide informed input into architectural direction, initiative sequencing and the allocation of technical resources.
- Recovery Validation: Contribute to resilience simulations and stress-testing activities, confirming that restoration arrangements perform effectively and assist in controlling operational risk.
- Technology Innovation: Assess new developments in database technology and recommend practical improvements to the Company’s platforms, processes and working methods.
- On-Call Support: Participate in a team rota supporting round-the-clock operations and respond to urgent database matters outside standard working hours when scheduled.
- Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities reasonably assigned by management in line with the evolving requirements of the position.
