Role Overview
Heroix is partnering with our Client in the information and communications technology sector to recruit a Senior ERP Solutions Consultant for its Business Software function. The selected candidate will oversee enterprise software projects from the initial discovery stage through to system launch, user enablement and post-implementation assistance.
This position requires a commercially aware technology professional who can translate operational needs into practical system solutions, coordinate project activities and build trusted relationships with customers. The role will also provide leadership to less experienced consultants and help maintain consistently high delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- ERP Project Delivery: Manage enterprise software assignments across every stage, ensuring agreed requirements, schedules and quality expectations are met.
- Business Analysis: Engage with customers to understand their workflows, challenges and operational objectives, converting this information into clear functional specifications.
- Solution Architecture: Determine how customer processes can be supported through available system capabilities and recommend suitable configurations.
- System Configuration: Set up, adapt and test software environments in accordance with approved specifications and customer requirements.
- Project Planning: Contribute to effort calculations, delivery schedules, workload planning and the assignment of suitable resources.
- Team Guidance: Provide functional and technical direction to colleagues involved in implementation work, helping the team address delivery challenges effectively.
- Customer Engagement: Work alongside Account Managers and Project Managers to maintain effective communication, coordinate activities and manage customer expectations.
- On-Site Consultancy: Attend customer premises where necessary to conduct workshops, complete implementation work or provide hands-on assistance.
- Reporting Solutions: Create tailored reports that present the information required by customers, while maintaining appropriate supporting records.
- User Enablement: Deliver clear training sessions and produce practical guidance materials that help users work confidently with the implemented software.
- Release Management: Coordinate the installation of new solutions and oversee subsequent updates, fixes and version changes.
- Ongoing Support: Investigate customer queries following implementation, resolve system-related issues and retain reliable records of all assistance provided.
- Documentation: Produce and maintain accurate project, configuration and solution records in line with the Company’s internal standards.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Support junior consultants in strengthening their technical knowledge, consulting approach and overall project contribution.
- Pre-Sales Contribution: Assist commercial colleagues by providing relevant product knowledge and technical input during prospective customer discussions.
- Product and Market Insight: Contribute to research concerning customer needs, market developments and opportunities for improving the Business’s software offering.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the review and testing of customer-oriented functionality to confirm that it is dependable, suitable and ready for use.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
- Education: An MQF Level 6 qualification in Information Technology, Computing, Business and Information Technology, Accounting or a comparable area is required.
- Experience: A minimum of five years’ relevant professional experience is expected, ideally gained through the delivery of ERP platforms or other business applications.
- Business Knowledge: A practical understanding of accounting, finance and common organisational workflows is essential.
- Implementation Expertise: Proven capability in gathering requirements, documenting processes, configuring systems and introducing software into customer environments.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
- Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal and presentation abilities, with the confidence to explain technical and functional matters to different audiences.
- Interpersonal Skills: A customer-focused and collaborative approach, together with the ability to establish credibility with users, managers and internal colleagues.
- Training Skills: The ability to deliver engaging user sessions and prepare clear materials suited to different levels of technical knowledge.
- Leadership: The maturity and technical confidence to advise project colleagues and help junior consultants develop their capabilities.
- Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of enterprise software environments, solution configuration, reporting tools, testing methods and software release processes.
- Project Coordination: The ability to estimate work, organise project activities and collaborate effectively with commercial and delivery stakeholders.
- Organisation: Excellent attention to detail, supported by the ability to balance several assignments, maintain complete records and meet project milestones.
- Self-Motivated: A proactive professional who accepts responsibility for outcomes and remains committed to delivering dependable customer solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical judgement, with the ability to identify the cause of operational or system issues and develop workable resolutions.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to customer locations whenever project or support requirements call for an on-site presence.
