Role Overview

The Senior Treasury Manager will play a crucial role in managing the organisation's cash flow, credit management, and funding activities. This role involves overseeing cash flow reporting and forecasting, optimising liquidity, and providing essential support to the finance leadership team in day-to-day financial management tasks. The Senior Treasury Manager will also maintain relationships with financial institutions and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Cash Flow Reporting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain mechanisms to track fund inflows and outflows. Conduct regular forecasting to anticipate liquidity needs and ensure optimal cash management.
• Credit Management: Monitor credit risk exposure and implement strategies to mitigate risks. Establish policies to manage receivables effectively and minimise bad debts.
• Funding and Debt Facility Modelling: Identify and evaluate alternative sources of funding to support capital requirements.
• Support to Finance Leadership: Assist the Head of Finance and CFO with day-to-day financial activities, generating ad hoc reports to support strategic planning.
• Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies, acting as a liaison to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, with experience in treasury management, cash flow forecasting, and credit management. A CPA Warrant is required.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English. Knowledge of Maltese is an asset.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with financial partners and regulatory bodies.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modelling and treasury management systems.
• Organisation: High-level organisational skills, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Self-Motivated: Demonstrates self-direction with a strong work ethic and a high standard for performance.
• Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and mitigating risks with strategic financial solutions.

• Compensation: A competitive base salary with additional car and communication allowances.
• Bonuses: Up to 15% Performance Bonus.
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day on average. Flexible remote/hybrid work is offered once a week after 3 months of employment, subject to management approval.
