Role Overview
Heroix is working with a respected organisation within the technology solutions sector to recruit a Solution Lead. This position is ideal for an experienced IT professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with leadership, customer engagement, and strategic thinking. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing business solutions, supporting project delivery, guiding technical teams, and contributing to the continued development of innovative technology services.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design: Lead the design of technical solutions within a designated service area, ensuring they meet customer requirements, business objectives, and recognised industry standards.
- Client Engagement: Work closely with customers to understand their operational needs and transform business requirements into practical, scalable technology solutions.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance, coaching, and ongoing support to colleagues, encouraging technical excellence and sharing knowledge across the team.
- Project Collaboration: Partner with Project Managers, departmental leaders, and technical teams to resolve design challenges and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
- Pre-Sales Support: Assist business development activities by delivering technical presentations, preparing solution proposals, contributing to project estimates, and supporting customer discussions.
- Quality Assurance: Promote best practices throughout the solution lifecycle to ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with organisational standards.
- Technology Development: Monitor emerging technologies, industry developments, and competitor offerings to help shape future service improvements and technical direction.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams to support successful project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Team Development: Contribute to training initiatives, recruitment activities, performance reviews, and the continuous development of technical capabilities within the department.
- Operational Support: Provide ongoing assistance to existing clients and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated technology solutions.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: A degree (MQF Level 6 or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar technical role involving solution design, systems implementation, or enterprise software delivery.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
- Communication Skills: Able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences while building confidence with customers and colleagues.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building abilities with a collaborative approach to working across multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical Skills: Sound understanding of enterprise technology solutions, solution architecture, systems integration, technical documentation, and pre-sales consultancy.
- Organisation: Capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting project deadlines.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive, committed to continuous learning, and driven to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical thinker with the ability to identify challenges, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions in complex environments.
