Role Overview
Heroix is collaborating with our Client to recruit an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner. Reporting to the European HR Director, the selected candidate will oversee recruitment assignments across several locations in Europe, working alongside local HR teams and business leaders to secure technical, professional and management talent.
This position requires an accomplished recruitment professional who can manage vacancies across different jurisdictions, navigate varied talent markets and help establish a more unified approach to hiring throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Recruitment Lifecycle: Take responsibility for assigned vacancies from the initial approval stage through candidate identification, evaluation, interviewing, selection and offer management.
- Recruitment Planning: Consult with local HR representatives and recruiting managers to establish staffing needs, determine suitable candidate criteria and select the most appropriate attraction methods.
- European HR Collaboration: Develop productive working relationships with HR colleagues in different countries, combining regional recruitment knowledge with their understanding of local employment markets and practices.
- Candidate Sourcing: Identify both actively searching and passive professionals through LinkedIn Recruiter, recruitment technology, professional networks and other contemporary search methods, with particular attention to specialist and difficult-to-source profiles.
- Technical Talent Pipelines: Create and maintain networks of prospective candidates for engineering, programme delivery, production, quality, operations, procurement, supply chain, sales, finance and wider corporate appointments.
- Vacancy Management: Handle several recruitment campaigns covering different countries, seniority levels and departments while maintaining clear priorities and a positive applicant journey.
- Hiring Manager Guidance: Provide informed advice regarding talent supply, search channels, realistic hiring timeframes, candidate expectations and prevailing conditions within European employment markets.
- Stakeholder Communication: Keep HR teams, recruiting managers and senior stakeholders informed of recruitment progress, emerging concerns and any factors that could affect successful delivery.
- Candidate Evaluation: Conduct structured interviews and assessments to establish each applicant’s professional capability, suitability for the position and alignment with the Business.
- Systems and Records: Keep applicant information, vacancy activity and recruitment documentation complete and current within the relevant Applicant Tracking System and associated platforms.
- Governance and Compliance: Carry out all hiring activity in accordance with the Company’s internal standards and the applicable employment and data requirements of each jurisdiction.
- Recruitment Analytics: Review hiring data, recognise delays or weaknesses within the recruitment journey and apply evidence-based insights to improve outcomes.
- Employer Reputation: Contribute to initiatives that strengthen the Company’s position as an employer across Europe and support recruitment-focused communications and campaigns.
- External Relationships: Establish connections with educational institutions, professional associations and specialist talent networks that can support future recruitment requirements.
- Supplier Coordination: Work with country HR teams when engaging recruitment consultancies or executive search providers, monitoring service standards, value and results.
- Regional Projects: Participate in or lead recruitment initiatives connected to business growth, workforce requirements and wider European HR priorities.
- Process Development: Help simplify, align and digitise hiring procedures, systems and supporting documentation across the region while allowing for necessary country-specific differences.
- Knowledge Sharing: Encourage the exchange of effective recruitment practices among European HR teams and contribute to workforce planning and broader talent programmes.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
- Education: A qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences or another relevant discipline is required. Substantial professional recruitment experience combined with alternative studies may also be considered.
- Experience: At least 7 years of talent acquisition or recruitment experience is required, ideally gained within a multinational manufacturing, engineering or technology setting.
- International Recruitment: Previous involvement in hiring across several countries or within a multinational business would be highly beneficial, together with an awareness of recruitment and employment considerations in European jurisdictions.
- Recruitment Scope: Demonstrated success in appointing technical specialists, engineers, corporate professionals and senior-level candidates is essential.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English is required to succeed in this role. Maltese or another European language would be considered an advantage.
- Communication Skills: The ability to explain recruitment information clearly, conduct effective interviews and provide well-supported recommendations to stakeholders is important.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building abilities are required to gain the confidence of HR colleagues, recruiting managers and business leaders from different professional and cultural backgrounds.
- Stakeholder Management: Candidates must be comfortable managing expectations, influencing decisions and professionally questioning assumptions when this supports a stronger recruitment outcome.
- Sourcing Expertise: Advanced capability in LinkedIn Recruiter, direct candidate search and current talent identification methods is necessary.
- Technical Skills: Practical knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems, online hiring platforms and Microsoft Office is required, with particularly strong Excel proficiency.
- Talent Market Knowledge: A sound understanding of how to locate engineering, technical and professional candidates within diverse European labour markets is expected.
- Commercial Awareness: The selected candidate should be able to understand organisational priorities and convert them into practical recruitment plans.
- Organisation: Excellent planning and prioritisation skills are needed to coordinate numerous vacancies, deadlines and stakeholders across different locations.
- Self-Motivated: A proactive and practical professional who accepts ownership, works with limited supervision and remains focused on successful appointments will suit this opportunity.
- Problem-Solving: The role requires an analytical approach to recruitment challenges, including the ability to identify alternative solutions when suitable talent is limited.
