Technical Department Supervisor

Established in 1993, SR Group has grown into one of Malta’s leading suppliers of construction, waste management, and recycling plants and equipment. We specialise in the importation, distribution, and support of heavy machinery, industrial equipment, waste processing equipment, and related solutions.

As part of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking an experienced Technical Department Supervisor to join our team and support the continued development of our technical and after-sales operations.

The Role

You will supervise our technical team and coordinate day-to-day service activities, ensuring our customers receive efficient, professional, and reliable technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate technicians and service personnel.
• Plan and allocate servicing, repairs, installations, and maintenance work.
• Assist with diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and technical issues.
• Coordinate breakdowns, warranty claims, and technical support with manufacturers.
• Monitor the progress and quality of service jobs.
• Ensure technicians follow appropriate safety and service procedures.
• Liaise with customers regarding technical issues and service requirements.
• Work closely with the Sales, Spare Parts, and Operations teams.
• Maintain accurate service records and technical documentation.
• Support the training and development of the technical team.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in technical/service supervision, preferably within heavy machinery, construction equipment, industrial equipment, waste management, automotive, or a related sector.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Previous experience supervising technicians or a technical team.
• Good organisational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• A practical, hands-on approach.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good computer literacy.
• A relevant technical qualification is an advantage.
• Valid driving licence.
• Knowledge of Maltese is an advantage.
• Applicants already resident in Malta will be considered an advantage.
