Role Overview
The Technical Projects Engineer will oversee the execution of engineering activities, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard. The role involves coordinating internal teams, managing external suppliers, and supporting business development efforts within the industrial and pharmaceutical sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Management: Lead and coordinate the engineering department, ensuring the timely completion of all project phases.
- Budget and Planning Support: Assist in planning and monitoring budgets, ensuring alignment with annual forecasts.
- Supplier and Client Management: Oversee relationships with external suppliers and liaise effectively with clients to maintain satisfaction and service quality.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure services meet industry standards, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify and develop opportunities with new clients.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- Experience: Previous experience in technical design offices or engineering companies, with expertise in coordinating engineering and construction activities in industrial, pharmaceutical, or related sectors.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese or other languages is an asset; Italian is appreciated.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal teams.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to foster collaborative relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of the full life cycle of industrial building and plant engineering projects, including EPCM activities, civil, mechanical, electrical, and pharmaceutical construction technologies, GEP, GMP standards, project management, and Microsoft Office/Microsoft Project.
- Organisation: Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Self-Motivated: Driven to achieve results, demonstrating initiative and proactive problem-solving.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and practical skills to resolve complex project challenges.
