Technician

Doubletree by Hilton Malta currently seeking a skilled Technician to join our Engineering team at our 4-star hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of all technical services, including managing the plant room and maintaining hotel equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the plant room operations, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and water systems.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various hotel departments.
• Diagnose issues and repair equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, kitchen and laundry equipment).
• Maintain logs of work completed, materials used, and report issues to supervisors.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, including fire safety systems.
• Support in hotel energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability programs.
• Collaborate with external contractors when required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Technician in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of plant room operations and building services systems.
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Technical diploma or certification in a relevant field preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
