A vacancy has arisen within the Logistics team at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc for a Warehouse Operator.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Operator will be responsible for receiving and storing beverages, empties, and POS materials in the warehouse as directed by the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
The role also involves organizing products for dispatch to the Marshalling Area, loading and unloading trucks, and relocating stock as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Forklifts, VNA, and Reach Trucks to load, transport, and issue products in accordance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Ensure proper handling and use of Forklifts, VNAs, and Reach Trucks according to standard operating procedures.
- Place and remove pallets from racking or other stock locations as directed by the Warehouse Management System.
- Use radio data terminals accurately to ensure proper stock placement and retrieval.
- Assist in stock-taking processes when required.
- Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse and logistics yard as directed. Also, conduct regular cleaning on warehouse machinery.
- Maintain logbooks as per established procedures.
- Follow strictly the instructions given by the Warehouse Co-ordinator.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ability to read and write in English and Maltese and familiarity with basic computer or HDMI screen usage.
- Needs to obtain certification for operating Forklifts, VNAs, and Reach Trucks.
- Be able to work in a team.
- Be pro-active.
- Ready to work on a 3-shift roster basis, including night shift.
