Accounts Clerk

We are a growing and fast-paced food retail group seeking a capable and driven Accounts Clerk to support and strengthen our people function. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, operationally involved, and part of a business that is continuously evolving.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the accounts function across the group, while also contributing to the development and organisation of the department as we continue to grow.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank & cash reconciliations
• Assist in the month end processes. 
• Issue of invoices, debtor chasing & reconciliations
•  Posting of invoices, creditors’ payment and reconciliations.
•  Assisting in audit related tasks 
•  Other ad hoc tasks as required

💡 What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

•  A level standard/ Advanced Diploma of education in Accounts.
•  Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or clerical role, preferably with a focus on high-volume transactions and bank-related tasks.
•  Previous experience in a retail or supermarket setting is advantageous.
•  Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 
•  Demonstrate a can-do attitude, is highly organised, meticulous, and attentive to detail.
•  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 
•  Possess a high work ethic. 
•  Fluency in English. 
•  Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Previous experience in a retail or supermarket setting is a plus.
