We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated Accounts Clerk to join our dynamic Finance Team. This role is key in supporting the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in line with company procedures and accounting standards.
· Post journal entries for daily transactions, ensuring proper coding and supporting documentation.
· Reconcile bank and intercompany balances, on a regular basis.
· Support the monthly and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
· Support monitoring cash flow and assist in preparing weekly or monthly cash flow reports.
· Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
· Support budget preparation and variance analysis.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
· Assist in preparation of documentation for VAT returns and liaise with Accountants when required.
· Assist in maintaining internal controls and process efficiency.
· Participate in system updates, software migration, or data reconciliations when required.
· Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned by the accountants.
· Liaise with procurement, logistics, and site supervisors to verify invoice approvals and delivery confirmations.
· Communicate with suppliers and clients to resolve payment or account-related queries.
· Collaborate closely with Accountant to streamline accounting workflows.
· Maintain a well-organized filing system (physical and digital) for invoices, payments, and correspondence.
· Support in the implementation of accounting software improvements and reporting dashboards.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
· Currently in the early stages of ACCA qualification
· Knowledge of Malta accounting standards and statutory compliance.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
· Strong analytical, problem solving, and organisational skills.
· Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
· Be fluent in Maltese and English languages.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position on site
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Occasional extended hours may be required.
