This Backend Developer and Data Engineer opportunity offers you the chance to join a rapidly growing affiliate and lead generation business operating within the iGaming and financial services sectors. Joining a highly technical team, you will take ownership of the core data and API layer that powers both internal and external systems. This is a senior engineering role where you will design scalable ingestion pipelines, build robust backend services, and create future-proof data models capable of supporting long-term business growth. You will work on complex engineering challenges involving structured and unstructured data, API architecture, data quality, observability, and AI-driven data enrichment.

This role is particularly suited to an experienced Backend or Data Engineer who enjoys solving data-intensive problems, building scalable systems, and working at the intersection of backend engineering, data architecture, and AI. If you are passionate about creating reliable data platforms, leveraging modern technologies, and continuously improving systems through innovation and automation, this role offers an exciting environment where you can make a tangible impact.

You will:

• Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines from APIs, files, databases, streams, and third-party integrations.
• Build and maintain extensible data models supporting long-term platform evolution.
• Develop and maintain robust, versioned APIs for internal and external consumers.

Skills / Experience:

• 5+ years of experience within Backend Engineering, Data Engineering
• Strong PHP and Symfony experience building scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Excellent PostgreSQL knowledge including data modelling, schema design, indexing, and performance optimisation.

Salary / Remuneration: up to 60K + Fully Remote Working + Performance-Based Incentives
