Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, take beverage orders, and deliver prompt, friendly service at the bar and for table service when required.
- Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes, menus, and guest preferences.
- Create and recommend cocktails, promote specials, and upsell premium beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain full knowledge of beverage menu, wine list, beer selection, and seasonal offerings; provide accurate recommendations and answer guest questions.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, process payments, operate POS systems, and close out tabs responsibly.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible service guidelines to ensure patron safety and compliance with regulations.
- Keep bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked; restock glassware, garnishes, and inventory during shifts.
- Coordinate with kitchen and floor staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of drinks and orders.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including inventory counts, deliveries, and storage rotation.
- Participate in staff training, tasting sessions, and menu development to maintain high beverage standards and up-to-date knowledge.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum mid-senior level experience as a bartender in fast-paced, upscale hospitality settings.
- Professional working proficiency in English; strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages; ability to craft classic and contemporary drinks consistently.
- Excellent customer service orientation with a polished, guest-focused demeanor.
- Proven cash handling and POS operation experience; accurate and trustworthy with financial transactions.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Relevant hospitality or bartending certifications (advantageous) and food safety training where applicable.
