About the Role
The Manager will ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and fostering staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the childcare centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff, promoting professional growth, teamwork, and high-quality care.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development sessions.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula and activities that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Ensure programs meet developmental needs and comply with regulatory standards.
- Maintain compliance with all Maltese legal regulations regarding childcare.
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections, drills, and ensure a safe environment for children.
- Build strong relationships with parents and families through open communication and engagement initiatives.
- Organize parent meetings, community events, and collaborative activities to strengthen family involvement.
- Manage the centre’s budget, including enrollment, tuition collection, and operational expenses.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and education, implementing improvements as needed.
- Prepare for inspections, audits, and accreditation processes, ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all centre-related matters.
Requirements
- MQF Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Management.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in childcare or educational settings, including at least 3 years in a management role.
- Certification in Paediatric First Aid and Food Handling.
