About This Job
Aura is looking for a hands-on Supervisor to lead our cleaning and hospitality team and make sure every property is ready on time and to standard.
You will plan the day, move between sites, check the work, support the team and keep management informed. This is an on-the-road role, not a desk job: you set the standard by example and step in when the team needs you.
Location: Malta, travelling between properties
Hours: full-time, weekdays and weekends
Key responsibilities
Quality and standards
- Inspect properties after each clean against Aura's checklist and sign them off as ready.
- Spot and fix small details before a guest or client does: linen, amenities, smells, marks, presentation.
- Report damage, maintenance issues and missing items the same day, with photos.
Scheduling and planning
- Build and manage the daily and weekly schedule for yourself and the team.
- Re-plan quickly when bookings change, someone is absent or a job runs over.
- Make sure check-out and check-in deadlines are met.
Leading the team
- Brief the team at the start of the day and follow up on tasks.
- Train new starters and coach existing staff on standards and methods.
- Step in and clean when needed to cover absence or busy periods.
- Track attendance and punctuality, and raise issues early.
Communication
- Give management a clear daily update: what was done, what was not, and what needs a decision.
- Be the first point of contact for the team on site.
- Handle guest or client concerns politely and escalate when needed.
Stock and equipment
- Keep track of linen, cleaning products and guest supplies, and request orders before they run out.
- Make sure equipment is looked after and products are used safely.
What we are looking for
Essential
- A valid scooter or motorcycle licence, or at least a car licence, to travel between properties.
- Strong attention to detail: you notice what others miss.
- Confidence managing your own schedule and the schedules of others.
- A can-do attitude: you look for solutions and are happy to assist others.
- Very good time management and the ability to stay calm when the day changes.
- Clear, respectful communication with both management and team members.
- Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or hospitality.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for schedules, messages and photo reports.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays on a rota.
- The right to work in Malta and a clean police conduct certificate.
Nice to have
- Previous experience as a supervisor or team leader.
- Experience with short-let or hotel turnovers.
- Maltese or another language spoken by the team or guests.
- Your own scooter or car.
- Basic first aid or health and safety training.
What we offer
- Salary: around €20,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Transport: Company scooter
- Phone allowance, performance bonus
- A supportive team and room to grow as Aura grows.
