Position Overview:

To assist in the smooth processing of customs documentation and procedures ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage Customs related Import and Export documentation 
  • Accurately input data into customs clearance systems 
  • Ensure all customs procedures are followed in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Track and monitor the progress of Customs documentation. 
  • Liaise with internal departments to provide updates on customs clearance documentation status
  • Coordinate with customs authorities
  • Maintain organized records of customs documents 
  • Assist in resolving any customs-related issues
  • Prepare reports on customs activities if requested
  • Ensure that the Shipments’ Log Sheet is regularly and correctly updated
  • Provide administrative support to the customs clearance team

Qualifications and skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Customs procedures is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and maintain clear documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving results
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with a strong sense of initiative and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
