This Data Architect opportunity offers the chance to join one of Malta's most established insurance organizations as they embark on a major enterprise-wide data transformation programme. As the main Data Architect, you will join a company that value initiatives giving you the opportunity to take real ownership and implement your ideas. The organization is investing heavily in its data capabilities, providing you with the opportunity to shape the future data landscape while working on several strategic initiatives. This position offers the rare combination of strategic influence, hands-on ownership, and long-term stability within a well-established enterprise environment.

Joining the Data Management team, you will become the technical authority responsible for guiding data architecture decisions across multiple business domains. You will collaborate closely with both Data and IT leadership, acting as the bridge between business objectives and technical execution while helping establish the long-term roadmap for data platforms, governance, analytics, and AI adoption. The organization is currently undertaking several strategic initiatives giving you a unique opportunity to influence architecture decisions at a critical stage of the company's data evolution while working within a stable and well-established enterprise environment.

Supporting both Life and Non-Life business units, you will play a pivotal role in defining the future of data across the group while helping transition the organization from traditional reporting practices towards a modern, business-driven data function. The business is actively evaluating modern cloud technologies, including Azure, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric, giving you the chance to be part of a program creating significant scope for architectural influence and innovation.

You will:

• Guide the evolution of the enterprise Data Warehouse and analytics ecosystem.
• Establish engineering standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Provide hands-on architectural leadership from solution design through implementation

Skills / Experience:

• 5+ years' experience within Data Architecture or Enterprise Data Platforms.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Data Marts
• Experience working with cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure.

Salary / Remuneration: €50,000 – €60,000 + Hybrid Flexibility + Pension plan + Life insurance + Long-Term Career Progression
