This Data Governance Manager position offers an excellent opportunity to join one of Malta's most established and respected banking institutions, providing you with a clear and well-defined career path. As part of a major investment in data governance, the bank is building a brand-new Data Governance function, giving you the opportunity to play a critical role in protecting and managing one of its most valuable assets: data.

You will be part of a collaborative team where your expertise and judgement will directly influence key governance decisions. Working closely with business units, compliance teams, auditors, risk functions, and technical stakeholders, you will help ensure that sensitive information is managed appropriately while supporting the bank's wider digital transformation objectives.

You are a compliance-focused professional with strong stakeholder management skills and a solid understanding of data governance principles. You enjoy working across both business and technical teams, analyzing complex situations, assessing risks, and contributing to strategic frameworks. Whether your background comes from compliance, data governance, information security, or business analysis within a regulated environment, this role offers you the opportunity to make a lasting impact within a growing function.

You Will:

• Define, maintain, and enhance data governance policies, standards, and frameworks across the organization
• Work closely with auditors, business stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and governance best practices
• Review data access controls and support decision-making regarding data ownership, usage, and permissions

Skills / Experience:

• +4 years’ experience in Data Governance, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Information Security
• Strong understanding of data classification, governance frameworks, compliance requirements
• Experience working within financial services, or other highly regulated industries

Salary / Remuneration:
